My name is Ricardo Batista a Portuguese national living in Fukuoka city where I intend to engage in the industry of education as teacher, interpreter or translator. My aim is to take the best advantage of my language skills as well as to share experiences and knowledge with those interested in foreigner cultures, history, languages and lifestyle.

Mi nombre es Ricardo Batista y yo vivo en la ciudad de Fukuoka, donde tengo la intenci?n de iniciar una carrera en la industria de educacion y traducci?n. Mi objetivo es aprovechar al m?ximo mis conocimientos de idiomas, as? como a compartir mis conocimientos y experiencias con los interesados en las culturas, historia, lenguas y estilos de vida extranjeros .

Graduated in Archeology and History by the Faculty of Letters of Lisbon University I had the opportunity to work as volunteer and professional archaeologist in several countries including Portugal, Spain, France, Morocco and Ireland which allowed my to refine my level of proficiency in local languages as well as in my area of expertise.
In 2009 I was granted with the opportunity to proceed with my studies in Japan as a fellow student sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Science of Japan (MEXT) at Hiroshima University. During the first six months I attended and accomplished with success the intensive course of Japanese language carried out by the Faculty of Education of Hiroshima University. From April 2010 to March 2012 I enrolled as graduate student at the Faculty of Letters of Hiroshima University where I was awarded with the degree of Master of Arts after the successful accomplishment of my research on the coastal effects of the 2011 Tohoku earthquake-tsunami in the coastal lowlands of Soma and Minami-Soma, Fukushima prefecture.
In addition, as international student, I had the opportunity to engage in several activities related with international exchange of experiences, knowledge and language with other foreign students and also to work as translator and part-time instructor of Portuguese, English and Spanish languages in several occasions.
At present I live in Fukuoka city where I intend to engage in the industry of education as teacher, interpreter or translator. My aim is to take the best advantage of my language skills as well as to share experiences and knowledge with those interested in foreigner cultures, history, languages and lifestyle.
