日本に来たきっかけと、スペイン語講師になったきっかけ

More than 10 years ago I started learning japanese in my home town, León, and then I started becoming more and more interested in anything related to the Japanese culture. In 2016 I had the opportunity to come to Japan as an exchange student for a year and then its when I started teaching Spanish as a private tutor. I realized that teaching Spanish was what I wanted to do in the future. When I went back to Spain I continued studying japanese, finished my degree in English Studies and started a Master's degree in linguistics and teaching Spanish as a foreign language, having in mind becoming a Spanish teacher in Japan one day. Now I'm in Japan trying to achieve that dream that started back in 2016.

Hola a todos!

My name's Sara and I love teaching languages (as well as learning them). I ‘d like my students to learn how to speak Spanish correctly and also know a little bit about the Spanish culture and traditions. I try to make my classes entertaining and participatory, with real-life conversations but above all, productive whether they focus on grammar, vocabulary, conversation, pronunciation or the preparation for DELE exams. I usually try to adapt to my student’s interests, necessities and level. I have a degree in English Studies and a Master's degree in Linguistics and teaching Spanish as a foreign language so I have many skills to explain anything related to Spanish language in a very accurate and easy to understand way. In addition, I've been studying japanese for 9 years so I can understand better the differences between spanish and that language and adapt the content of the lessons to the specific needs of japanese students.

It all depends on the students needs and interests: what they want to learn and how they want to learn it. Also, I would adapt the lessons to their level.
Textbooks I often use: Español en Marcha and Aula internacional (any level)
I use also my own teaching materials: level tests, infographics, presentations, different kinds of activities, grammar explanations, vocabulary sheets...

Education:
- Degree in English Studies.
- Master's degree in linguistics and teaching Spanish as a foreign language

Teaching experience:
- English: more than 2 years of experience. Experience teaching both kids (from 3 years old )and adults.
- Spanish: More than 3 years of experience. Major experince teaching japanese students. 1 year giving online lessons to 2 Spanish schools in Tokyo and another year working as a freelance online tutor of Spanish.
