Currently, I am pursuing my research interests as a Rotary Peace Fellow at the International Christian University (ICU) in Tokyo, where I also serve as a Spanish Teaching assistant. My research focuses on developing an intercultural program that promotes soft skills for peacebuilding and cultural exchange through various art forms such as dance, sports, traditional games, weaving, and local practices. This work is driven by my strong desire to connect people and cultures worldwide while fostering understanding and respect for diverse ways of life.

I'm Diana, a Colombian dancer, anthropologist, and educator. Spanish and Japanese share similarities, making it an engaging language for Japanese learners. Whether you're starting from scratch or enhancing your skills, I'm here to help. ¡Vamos a disfrutar juntos del mundo del español! (Let's enjoy the world of Spanish together!)

Since 2022, I have been teaching Spanish and English at the International Christian University (ICU) and other private and public schools in Tokyo, as well as offering private lessons.

Additionally, since 2016, I have been conducting intercultural education consultancy programs in Colombia, fostering empathy and understanding among diverse student populations from kindergarten to graduate students and adults.



My preferred teaching methodology is a hybrid communicative approach that I have perfected during my 10 years of experience.

I have an official certificate from the University of El Rosario of Colombia to teach Spanish.



1) I am currently teaching at the International Christian University in Tokyo, helping students improve their overall Spanish communication skills.

2) I am also teaching English to high school students in Japan where I developed my curriculum using arts, movements, and culture to strengthen nonverbal, intercultural, and communication skills.
