In my first class I like to have a conversation to get an idea of ​​my student's goals and to know what level they are at. From there I prepare a class according to their level through exercises, reading, games and always having a minimum of daily conversation to familiarize themselves with the language and pronunciation.

The main reason for living in Japan is because I'm married to a Japanese man and I'm looking for a job that doesn't require the Japanese language too much because I still can't speak well. I thought that teaching Spanish is a good option because I have a bit of experience and I love teaching and transmitting my native language and Spanish culture to other people.

I had the chance to study in Fukuoka for six months thanks to an university scholarship and I fell in love with the country, the culture, the food and the people, so I came back as soon as I could to try to build my life here.

Teach and learn

For vocabulary, I often use the dictionary. For research purposes I may use official exam textbooks such as TOEIC for English or DELE for Spanish. If I need to prepare a specific class, I will purchase books to help me prepare my lesson accurately.

I have always wanted to visit Japan and learn the language. I started studying Japanese by myself as a teenager, but I didn't get to have professional classes until I went to university and studied the language for 3 years. When I concluded university, I decided to come to Japan and continue studying the language in the country. I decided to apply for this job because, as I am staying in Japan for more than 1 year, I believed it is a good idea to make use of my Spanish and English skills in order to gain more experience in a field that I highly appreciated as a teenager. I also want to help others learn from what I know and live a better financial comfortable student life.

For teaching I will use a variety of resources that hopefully will help my future students to become fluent as soon as possible.

Not only using textbooks, but also including more interactive ways (pdf, novels, videos) and practice conversation overall. I believe that the shadowing method is also a very useful one in order to learn a new language and sound like a native.

I came to Japan in order to learn Japanese since I do like learning new things and languages. I would like to become a Spanish teacher in Japan so that people can learn about cultural differences and share different experiences and views as well as finding out how amazing it is to be able to communicate with people in their own language.

Living in Japan has always been a dream for me. Since the moment I arrived here, I have felt how this country has welcomed me and taught me how different it is compared to my own country. Every passing day, I feel happy to have chosen Japan as the country to grow personally and professionally for the rest of my life. It is for this very reason that I have decided to teach Spanish.
